The shopper

What does the shopper pay?

  • You choose the percentage. Your plan sets the minimum.
  • Calculated on the order, shown before they decide, charged only if they add it.
  • Shown in the shopper's currency.
  • Cashback on the order can be part of the offer, funded by you and your plan.
The merchant

What does the merchant pay?

  • One subscription per store, with the plan's trial period where one applies.
  • Usage charges, where your plan has them, recorded against a usage ledger you can see.
  • Upcoming invoice and full history in Billing. No surprises at month end.
  • Change plans as your volume changes.

How the money moves

Shoppers who add protection fund the claims.

A percentage of the cart, chosen by the shopper at checkout. Refunds, replacements and store credit come out of that pool. You pay a flat plan for the app, the portal and the AI.

Pricing questions

The ones every merchant asks.

Does adding a fee at checkout hurt conversion?

It can, and nobody can tell you by how much without testing on your own traffic. The offer is built to cause the least friction: a visible price, plain benefit copy, cashback if you add it, and a clear way to continue without it. Watch conversion alongside attach rate for the first few weeks and judge it on your own numbers.

Who pays when a claim is approved?

The resolution is issued from your store. A refund is a Shopify refund against your order, a replacement is a Shopify order, and store credit is issued in Shopify. BuySure runs the offer, the AI review, the claims workflow and the automation, and records every outcome. It does not underwrite claims.

Is BuySure insurance?

No. BuySure is a commerce technology platform for order protection, claims operations and customer retention. It is not an insurance product and BuySure is not an insurance carrier or broker. How you describe your own protection offer to shoppers should be reviewed against your terms and the law where you sell.

What do I need before I can go live?

A connected Shopify store, a plan, a payment method, and your protection settings: the percentage, the claim window and the offer copy. Then add the BuySure Checkout block to your theme and run one test order through a claim before switching it on for customers.

Can I run more than one store?

Yes. Stores sit under one account, each with its own settings and plan. Team members are assigned to the stores they cover, and you switch between stores in the portal.
